One of the stories I’m currently drawing is an 18 page crime tale written by Ed Brisson for his Murder Book series. Ed has started up an IndieGoGo campaign to help fund the printing of Murder Book Vol. 3.

Murder Book Vol. 3 will feature the stories Midnight Walk, illustrated by Johnnie Xmas and Fathers and Sons, illustrated by Jason Copland.

If you dig current and gritty crime comics like Criminal and Scalped, then Murder Book is your bag!

I *am* working on stuff, you know. Most of it is not for peoples’ eyes, yet. These are 2 panels that are ready for inking. What are they for, you ask? Why, they are part of the story I’m drawing for Ed Brisson’s Murder Book #3.

I’m also working on a couple of drawings that will be made into prints for the comic conventions I will be attending as an exhibitor.

Here is a page from the western short story that Jeff McComsey penciled/grayscaled and I inked. The story was 16 pages in all and will be seen in an anthology later in 2012.

So, I’m doing something that I have never done in all my time as a comic book illustrator… I’m inking someone else’s pencils. I have become an inker for a 16 page supernatural western tale. It was written by Phil McClorey and penciled by Jeff McComsey.

It’s cool inking from someone else’s lines, actually. I took me a few panels to stop worrying about ruining what Jeff had drawn and just start doing what I love to do… draw. I look forward to doing more of this “inking” thing.

Here are a couple of Kill All Monsters sketchcards I did recently for people who purchased a copy of the Kill All Monsters limited ashcan from my store (see link at the top left side bar). Both cards are of Akemi, one of the main pilots of the series.

This one is a little more experimental than what I usually do, but I really liked the way it turned out.And this one is more of the traditional way I draw.

I have a bunch more sketchcards to share but I’ll pace myself.
